Decline and Fall of the Liberal Press Continues Apace

The Washington Post was recently sold for $250 million.  For comparison purposes, The Worcester Telegram & Gazette was sold in 1999 for $295 million.  Taking into account inflation, the Washington Post was sold for about 60.5% of the value of a minor newspaper from Massachusetts in 1999.  The depreciation of newspapers and news magazines was also reflected in the sale of Newsweek for only $1 and the Boston Globe which was bought for $1.1 billion in 1993 and was sold for only $70 million.  Again taking into account inflation, the Boston Globe depreciated by more than 96%.  Considering the overwhelming liberal bent of the press, their impending destruction is good news.
