Romney Lined Up Some Impressive Economic Firepower

400 economists, including 5 Nobel Economics Prize laureates came out in support of Gov. Romney (R. Massachusetts).  They have some harsh words for Obama:
President Obama has failed to advance policies that promote economic and job growth, focusing instead on increasing the size and scope of the federal government, which increases the debt, requires large tax increases, and burdens business with many new financial and health care regulations. The result is an anemic economic recovery and high unemployment. His future plans are to double down on the failed policies, which will only prolong slow growth and high unemployment.
Erskine Bowles, co-chairman of Obama's Deficit Commission and former chief of staff to President Clinton denounced Obama's budget and praised Rep. Paul Ryan's (R. Wisconsin) budget.   The Dept. of Agriculture spent $2 million on an internship program that hired a grand total of 1 intern.

Meanwhile in the failed European Union, Greek GDP shrank 6.2% in Q2The eurozone's GDP shrank by 0.2%.
