The Curse of Obama

Two days after Obama mentioned federal funding of batteries, the battery company Ener1 went bankrupt.  The Agriculture Dept. is spending $257.5 million to create 103 jobs, an average of $2.5 million/job.  General Motors allocated 104 Chevy Volt hybrid vehicles to 14 dealerships in New York City.  The dealers took only 31, "the lowest take rate for any Chevy model in that market last month. That group of dealers ordered more than 90 percent of the other vehicles they were eligible to take...."  All this wasteful spending on the chimera of "alternative energy" when the hysteria of "climate change" is unraveling.  Newly discovered Criegee biradicals produce a cooling effect on the atmosphere.  Sixteen scientists published an open letter declaring: "There’s no compelling scientific argument for drastic action to ‘decarbonize’ the world’s economy."  In one of the few signs of sanity under the Obama regime, the Wisconsin state assembly voted 59-36 in favor of a new iron mine.  Democratic commitment to destroying the country's economy is so intense that every Democrat voted against the proposal.
