Britain's Diminishing Defense Capabilities

It's far from clear that Super Lynx helicopters, tranche 3 of the Eurofighters, and the Future Rapid Effects System (FRES) are what Britain needs. That said, the problem here is that once the Treasury can reclaim money from the Defence Ministry, it never gives it back. Britain may not need these equipment in particular, but it does need additional helicopters, F-35s, and more MRAPs. Gutting defense seems to be the universal project of the global Far Left brotherhood. Sadly, the likes of China, Russia, and Iran are not cursed with their ilk. Less defense spending now tends to mean more deaths in the future. It is the very definition of "penny wise, pound foolish."
